A year before creating this series I started drawing intuitively with no reference, besides my inner library of visual language. I used only graphite and eventually watercolors. It was like going against instinct, but after a semester the narratives started unfurling and the imagery flowed.

These creatures begin to help in their own creation. Many worlds or realities started forming as I continued working and eventually I decided to explore one special pink floating behemoth’s world and learn of his struggle.

This narrative is about a being that is intrinsically good and soft natured. As a result of this inner nature, the more neutral soul is overcome and exploited by a more aggressive and pugnacious one. I chose to create a strictly visual linear narrative that can be interpreted as a relationship between earth and human interaction or about relationships and interactions between people. It is my interpretation of life; we all have played each of these roles.

At a certain point the next step was to bring these beings into the three dimensional world. I executed this step though the process of slip casting, which proved to be an efficient way to breathe life into the narrative. Their existence in our world furthered my understanding and passion for creating them.
